Postal Searches of Indexes

This is a service which the Society started to provide some time ago using a form printed in each issue of the Society Magazine.

For a very small fee volunteers at Bridge Chapel House will search indexes held at BCH. The indexes are of Baptisms, Burials & Marriages; Memorial Inscriptions; The IGI; Censuses and Wills. The Society also offers non-specific and open searches.

This service has now been extended by providing an on-line search request form which you can print down and send in. Click here to see How to Request a Postal Search.

The Society now holds records of Nottingham Road Cemetery (includes Uttoxeter New Road, Chellaston, Mickleover, Normanton and Spondon) from 1855 onwards and will search them for you. Here is the Nottingham Road Cemetery Search Form.

The Society orders certificates from the Family Records Centre several times a year and offers searches of the birth, marriage and death indexes which it holds. Here is the Courier/Search Service Form.
