Meetings/Events

The Society has three groups which meet on a monthly basis:

• DERBY: St Mary's Church Hall, Darley Lane on the second Wednesday of the month. Darley Lane is near to Bridge Chapel House see map.
• GLOSSOP & HIGH PEAK: Bradbury Community House, Market Street on the first Friday of the month. Here you will find a map of the Glossop Town Centre.
• SHIRLAND: Community Hall on the second/third Friday of each month. Here is a map of Shirland.

All meetings start at 7.30 pm.

Special Events: The Society holds special events, in addition to its normal meetings, each year. Past events have been held at Glossop, Shirland, Ashover, Ashbourne and South Normanton, in addition to those at the Society HQ at Bridge Chapel House. At typical event at BCH was held on 11th August 2001 and, to give you a flavour of the day, here are some thumbnail pictures which can be opened individually to display full size. On 10th August 2002 the Derby Branch of Derbyshire FHS hosted a Family and Local History Day at West Street Methodist Chapel, Swadlincote. Here are thumbnail pictures of that event which can also be opened individually to display full size.

The Society Bookstall also attends Fairs/Events promoted by other organisations. Details will be posted when available .
