By agreeing to our terms and conditions (which is part of the membership application process) you consent to allow us to store the personal data you have provided to us, and to use it for administrative purposes such as processing membership applications and renewals. We will use this information to contact you about membership matters, by email or by post.
Your My Menu area shows you all the current data we hold about you, and in the case of PAYG members, allows you to view all your data transactions.
You are able to review your personal data and keep it up to date.
Your information may also be used in other ways, according to how you set the permissions in your personal settings.
Specifically, you can choose whether or not we contact you with other DFHS news and opportunities, and whether you wish to share your email address with certain other members with whom you have a common research interest.
Our systems also hold data on lapsed members. If you wish to leave DFHS and also have your data removed from our systems, please email .
We do not disclose personal information to third parties without your consent unless obliged to do so by law.
Whilst every precaution is taken to ensure appropriate security measures are in place (for example all data travelling to and from the website is encrypted), DFHS cannot guarantee that information sent to it by other routes/methods will not be intercepted or decrypted and therefore accepts no liability for such occurrences.

Annual Subscription Membership
Annual Subscription Membership runs from January 1st for the whole of that calendar year. Members joining at any point in any given year will have their membership run for the remainder of that calendar year with a subscription renewal date of January 1st. Subscribing members will be entitled to receive all magazines due for the year that they have subscribed, this includes issues backdated for the whole of that calendar year when joining at any point during that year.

Pay-As-You-Go Membership
Pay-As-You-Go Membership consists of access to resources held by the society based on the use of credits, which are purchased in advance. These credits have no expiry date and are non-refundable. The society reserves the right to change the availability of resources or alter the value of resources without notice.

- After payment of the correct amount through the website, we will be notified of your order.
All orders:-
- Allow 28 days for delivery.
- Delivery within Europe will be by Airmail, and delivery outside Europe will be by surface mail.
If you have any special delivery requirement, please contact us. - REMEMBER! All prices are quoted in £ sterling and include postage.
- If the ordered goods are not required the customer must return them within 1 week of receipt, in perfect saleable condition to the Society's Booksales Manager. The customer will be liable for all postage costs incurred. This does not affect your statutory rights.
